Spearheaded by the Seoul Metropolitan Government, the Global Design Cities Organization (GDCO) has finally started with the aim of promoting cooperation on urban design policies among cities worldwide...

Member cities are; Ankara(Turkey), Aswan(Egypt), Bangkok(Thailand), Cape town(South Africa), Dhaka(Bangladeshi), Eindhoven(Netherland), Florianopolis(Brazil), Hamont-Achel(Belgium), Istanbul(Turkey), Maaseik(Belgium), Manazuru(Japan), Mumbai(India), Nairobi(Kenya), Rotterdam(Netherland), Seoul(South Korea), Taipei(Taiwan), Yangzhou(China), Yanji(China) .

Initiated by Seoul Metropolitan Government, the GDCO(Global Design Cities Organization) is an international organization
dealing with urban design issues and will be officially inaugurated in September 2011.
The GDCS Secretariat located at Seoul Design Foundation is running the organization.
